Instead of pushing so hard in getting Vista out, loaded w/bu

Instead of pushing so hard in getting Vista out, w/delay, after delay, after delay, only to end up coming out w/guaranteed loaded bug's, as history has shown w/Microsoft's products, why not truly take your time to come out w/a practical, clean, fast, and very efficient operating system (OS)? It can be done, and I still use the BEOS OS as the Golden Grail of OS's, since I never found one better yet.
In the mean time, while your taking your time w/Vista, why not start pushing the 64 bit version of Windows XP (x64), since 64 bit is the future w/Vista anyway. All the new processors coming out now support 64 bit. Why not start pushing it on all new systems now?
In fact, why not just take x64, upgrade it w/DirectX 10 and IE 7, for example, and go w/that for the present, while in the mean time, take your time and truly, truly fix Vista once and for all.
While Vista looks nice, and has a lot of nice bells and whistles, but will it perform? Will I get the very best performance from my system when I'm doing number crunching, both at work w/finite element analysis (FEA) or w/computer aided design (CAD), as well as at home w/games or Distributed Computing (DC), which I donate my computers time to.
As an aerospace engineer, involved w/the design, developement, and tesing of a very complex aircaft, that has to work, and that can't have no bugs at all, I'm always wondering, why can't Microsoft do it w/their products? The aircraft operates w/software, very complex software, that has to work. Can one image flying on an aircraft run using Microsoft Windows? Would anyone here truly feel comfortable w/flying on an aircraft being operated through Windows? Having the pilots flying, only to have Windows do one of it's famous blue screens? I wouldn't even want Windows in my automobile, as much as Microsoft wants to get into that area. To be driving in traffic, then all of a sudden the famous blue screen comes up. Microsoft better have some very good liability insurance, I'll tell you that.
